Summit plans to have two furnished models and as many as eight inventory homes completed by early spring of 2016. Summit purchased the remaining 78 single family building lots in the popular Raymore community in September, and immediately broke ground on new homes from their popular Lifestyle series of homes.
The community marks the third exclusive community for Summit Custom Homes in Raymore together with Timber Trails and High Point at Creekmoor.
“We’re excited to expand our presence in the vibrant Raymore community with a third exclusive neighborhood. This move will enable us to offer home buyers added value and more choice in the important low to mid $200’s home market,” commented Zalman Kohen, President of Summit Custom Homes.
“The lifestyle series of homes offer exciting floor plans, energy efficient construction, an abundance of standard included features, and an easy design selection process that our customers are raving about,” Kohen added.
Comprised of 350 single family residential lots, the popular Eagle Glen master-planned community is located two miles east of US49/71 HWY south of 58 HWY in Raymore, and a short 20-minute drive south of Downtown Kansas City. Since its grand opening in 2002, more than 265 families have purchased new homes in the community. The 78 lots purchased by Summit are the final lots to be developed in Eagle Glen.
Eagle Glen residents enjoy a host of popular amenities including a community pool with cabana house, walking trails, and acres of common areas. Eagle Glen Intermediate School, hosting children attending fourth through sixth grades, is located within the community as well. Residents enjoy nearby dining, healthcare, shopping, recreation, and entertainment options minutes from their home.
The city of Raymore, located less than 20 miles south of downtown Kansas City, is one of the fastest-growing areas of the metro and a perfect location for families that want a small-town neighborhood atmosphere at home with fast and easy access to all the cultural and employment opportunities of the larger metropolitan area.
Raymore has a friendly community atmosphere ideal for families, and the city offers residents a wide variety of services and programming through its Parks and Recreation department. Community events and activities for kids are hosted year-round in four scenic and well-maintained parks, which feature two stocked fishing lakes, a skate park, a baseball complex, playground equipment and miles of paved walking, jogging and biking trails. The city also hosts a low cost daily camp program all summer long and a Nature Quest program for students throughout the school year. The Original Town Farmer’s Market is a Raymore tradition with area growers and artisans selling affordable local foods, crafts and plants to Raymore families every week throughout the summer and fall months.
The annual Arts in the Park event and Harvest Night festivities are hosted each fall and offer kid’s activities, live music, food vendors, and bonfires while showcasing local artists and performers. Skate competitions, movie nights in the park and several holiday celebrations make Raymore ideal for families to be part of vibrant and friendly community.
