Summit Custom Homes keeps families first with new sales center hours
New home builder Summit Custom Homes will soon change the hours of operation for their model sales centers. Currently open seven days a week, Summit will now operate the centers Tuesday through Saturday beginning in January of 2015, while its main office in Lee’s Summit will continue to be open Monday through Friday.

The change comes as the award-winning builder continues to expand, having been named the tenth fastest-growing company in Kansas City by Ingram’s Magazine earlier this year. Summit did not make the decision to move to a five-day schedule lightly. Traditionally, Sundays are an important day for homebuilders, who see the majority of their walk-in traffic on weekends, but Summit feels the benefit to their employees outweighs any potential financial concerns.

“Ultimately, it came down to our people. We have a hardworking team, and they are very good at what they do, but we know that working is not all that they do. They have families, hobbies, and homes of their own. We want them to have time for all of it,” says Fred Delibero, President and CEO for Summit Custom Homes.

“People are the foundation of everything we do,” add Zalman Kohen, Vice President and COO for Summit Custom Homes, “and just as the families we build homes for are important to us, so are the families of our team. As we grow, it is a top priority for us to make sure that Summit employees have adequate time to rest and be with their families. To be moms and dads and husbands and wives.”

The sales centers will be open from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m., except on Tuesdays, when they will open at 1 p.m. Homebuyers still have plenty of opportunities to visit the communities, tour model homes, and consult with new home specialists on site.

“We’re still going to be available in person in the sales centers five days a week, the staff in our main office will still be available Monday through Friday, and of course we will always be available to our current homeowners 24/7 in case of emergency,” says Jodi Palin, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Summit Custom Homes.

Summit Custom Homes is currently the exclusive builder in six communities, and operates its own sales centers in each one. The communities include: Chapman Farms, Timber Trails, Brooks Farm, Foxberry Estates, Highpoint at Creekmoor, and Parkwood at Stoney Creek.
