Leading new home builder Summit Custom Homes kicked off tickets sales for the 2015 St. Jude Dream Home on June 1st, with City of Blue Springs Mayor Carson Ross reserving the first ticket for this year’s giveaway.
The St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway is celebrating its tenth campaign in the Kansas City market. Summit Custom Homes, recently named among the area’s Top 150 Private Companies by the Kansas City Business Journal, is building the Dream Home for the fifth year in a row.
Summit Custom Homes hosted a floor signing event for the 2015 Dream Home at Chapman Farms on May 21. Summit employees and representatives from St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital gathered with city officials, local trade partners and sponsors and patient families to tour the nearly-complete luxury home and leave their mark on the home by sharing best wishes and signing their names on the unfinished floor of the second story.
“We’re honored to have partnered with St. Jude once again. We love this project, and we love helping the families of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. This truly is a labor of love,” says Fred Delibero, CEO of Summit Custom Homes.
Tickets for the 2015 St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway are now available. Tickets may be reserved for $100 each, with the full value of the ticket purchase benefiting the children of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
7,500 tickets will be sold for this year’s giveaway, and ticket holders will be entered to win a number of prizes, including a one week stay in a Destin, Florida condominium, courtesy of The Rob Ellerman Team Reece Nichols, a $1,000 Visa gift card courtesy of All My Sons Moving & Storage, and Artesso™ SmartTouch® kitchen Faucet with coordinating soap dispenser courtesy of Brizo®, and a Huntervention Weekend Makeover including three fans, accessories and a $250Visa Giftcard, courtesy of Hunter Fan.
The grand prize is the St. Jude Dream Home at Chapman Farms, with an estimated value of $600,000. The 4,195 square foot Templeton plan is a two-story home with five bedrooms and five bathrooms, incorporating a guest suite on the main level with its own bathroom, walk-in closet, and washer and dryer. The main level also features an optional sixth bedroom with dedicated bathroom, great room with fireplace and built-in shelving, and a covered patio off of the open-concept kitchen and dining area.
The upper level contains the master suite with a custom tile wet room, oversized closet with built-in seating and island, and a connected laundry room. Three additional bedrooms and two additional bathrooms are located off of a vaulted loft space, which features a built-in media center.
The 2015 Dream Home is located at 121 SW Shores Drive in The Shores at Chapman Farms, located off MO 7 Highway north of Colbern Road in Blue Springs. The 2014 St. Jude Dream Home was also built in Chapman Farms, a Summit Exclusive Community built around a thirty-acre lake and featuring a community pool and cabana, fitness trails, and a playground.
Reserve your ticket by July 3, 2015, and you’ll be entered to win a 2015 Kia Forte LX Automatic courtesy of Bill George’s Olathe Imports.
The 2015 Dream Home at Chapman Farms will be open to the public on weekends beginning September 12, and will be open daily during the Home Builder Association of Greater Kansas City’s Fall Parade of Homes from October 3rd through the 18th. Visitors to the home may register to win a $10,000 shopping spree from Crowley Furniture.
Proceeds from ticket sales for the 2015 St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway will benefit the children of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. St. Jude leads the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other deadly diseases. Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing and food – because all a family should worry about is helping their child live. Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent to 80 percent since the hospital opened its doors more than 50 years ago. St. Jude freely shares the breakthroughs it makes, and every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children.
The St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway has become one of the largest single-event fundraisers for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital nationwide. To date, the program has raised more than $288 million for St. Jude. Because a majority of St. Jude funding comes from individual contributors through programs like this one, St. Jude has the freedom to focus on what matters most – saving kids regardless of their financial situation.
The drawing for the giveaway of the St. Jude Dream Home at Chapman Farms will be held on Thursday, October 15 on KSHB TV 41 Action News.
