The Home Builders Association of Greater Kansas City is proud to announce the new Artisan Home Tour, September 12 - 20, 2015. This tour will feature ten of Kansas City’s finest custom home builders showcasing the unique and impeccable qualities of their one-of-a-kind homes and featured products.
The Artisan Home Tour will be a ticketed event that will benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities Kansas City. The HBA is also pleased to partner with the presenting sponsor, Ferguson.
“This is a truly unique event for customers interested in the high-end custom homes,” says Dobbe Dobberstine, Dobberstine Custom Homes, Artisan Home Tour Chairperson. “We’ve been asked ‘what makes a home an Artisan Home’ and the answer is in the elevated standards of design, superior craftsmanship, and exquisite products. Custom home builders know when they are creating a residence that is transcendent for the client and the home builder.”
The homes in the Artisan Home Tour have been held to the highest quality standards thanks to an architect review process. The architectural plans were judged individually on their merits by one of Kansas City’s most acclaimed architects, Scott Bickford, R.S. Bickford and Company.
“We are thrilled that this is a charitable event that will benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities and the time is right for an event like this,” said Sara Corless, Executive Vice President. “People want to feel the comfort of a home that was designed and personalized just for them to fit their lifestyles. Our goal is to connect the buyers with the builder who will be their partner every step of the way.”
Selecting the RMHC-KC as the beneficiary was an easy decision based on a shared history. The HBA helped renovate and open the first house in 1981, then helped build the second house located on Cherry Street. "Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City could not serve the 87 families of hospitalized children we do every night without our community's support, and the Home Builders Association has been one of those great community partners for many years. “We are excited to be a part of such a unique event," said RMHC-KC CEO, Holly Buckendahl.
The ten homes will be scattered throughout the Kansas City Metropolitan area and tickets to tour all ten homes will be available online at www.artisanhometourkc.org for $25 or at the door for $30 with individual homes available for tour for $10 each. Homes will be open daily, noon-7 p.m.
