As a homeowner, there are many simple improvements and/or repairs you can successfully accomplish—and many that a licensed and qualified professional should complete. There are all the other projects however, that may seem simple and well within the parameters of your ability, but are in reality a disaster waiting to happen. Many of us ignore the possibility (probability) of calamity and dive right in. Maybe because of pride and the primeval need to be self sufficient, or perhaps the issue is simply a matter of cost.
